Alternative Education

YaSiG’s Alternative Education programme offers a diverse range of courses specially designed to engage, motivate and empower young people.

Using a youth work approach to teaching with a vocational edge accompanying each course, YaSiG have created a well balanced, complimentary programme that has proved successful on all levels.

YaSiG believe in developing opportunities and creating pathways for all young people. To enable young people to achieve their potential YaSiG have developed each course to consist of easily achievable, exciting awards and qualifications.

Programme leaders work intensively with individuals to achieve consistently high attendance levels, encouraging students to engage and accomplish their learning potential.

Many people believe that young people attending Alternative Education establishments all have behavioural problems. For YaSiG the provision is just a different pathway delivered outside of the mainstream environment for all types of young people, from some of the most vulnerable to those who may have learning difficulties.
