LEARN

YaSiG’s LEARN course is designed to engage and motivate young people through interventions that enable them to enjoy and achieve.

The LEARN course is designed in a way that is unique from any other. It includes experience and tasters of all the different areas that YaSiG offer, such as, catering, sports and horticulture. YaSiG understand the various needs of young people and have the skills, knowledge and experience to tailor the LEARN programme to suit each individual.

The course includes embedded basic literacy and numeracy and involves activities that take emphasis on building social skills, improving confidence and working as part of a team. YaSiG have also incorporated valuable trips and activities that play an important part in engaging and re-integrating into learning.

Qualifications
The LEARN course integrates a variety of qualifications that compliment the delivery and learning style of each young person. All young people are guaranteed an accredited outcome.

Young people attending this course will be given the opportunity to study and achieve a variety of the following awards and qualifications

City and Guilds Key Skills at levels 1 or 2
ASDAN CoPE (Certificate of Personal Effectiveness)
ASDAN Short Course Awards
SLUK Young Leader Award
St John's Ambulance Young First Aider Certificate
