YaSiG have introduced a fantastic new course specifically designed around horticulture and the environment.

Course Overview
This course is designed for learners who prefer the ’hands-on’ approach to learning. Young people can start this course with little or no experience but will need to show that they have some interest in the subject.
Each unit is observation focused to allow young people maximum opportunity to develop skills in sewing seeds, caring for plants and soil, identifying pH levels in soils and effects on plant life.
The course concentrates on team working skills to enable each young person to value and understand the importance of working together in their group.

Qualifications
Learners will achieve the NOCN Level 1 Award for Progression through study of the following units

Using Team Work Skills
3 Credits
Developing Skills in Garden Horticulture
3 Credits

This course will also be complimented by various ASDAN short courses enabling the young person to achieve their potential.
